They were standing there scratching their heads when even stranger things started to happen. First the fire hydrant right beside them started to squeak. It started to turn and twist while it squeaked. While it was turning and twisting and squeaking it started to grow. While it was turning, twisting, squeaking and growing, it began to change its shape. It developed two legs, two arms and a head. Hydrant

When it was finished its transformation it looked like a 5 foot tall fire hydrant boy. Can you imagine that? A red metal fire hydrant boy with a head that looked like an upside down flower pot, his belly and backside were made of round metal plates and his arms were long with knobs at the end for hands. The hydrant stretched his arms and yawned. "Boy, it feels great to be able to move. It's been quite a while."

Sam and Steph's eyes were large with amazement. The puppy, by now was getting over its fear of the loud noises and his curiosity was getting the best of him. He wanted to get down to sniff the fire hydrant. Sam put him down.

The girls introduced themselves to the fire hydrant boy (how strange is that). He replied, "Mark is my name, pleased to mee... Hey, will you get your dog off my leg!" The pup apparently had to relieve himself.

"Oh, sorry! He's not our dog. We saw him when we were riding our bikes. We were just down the block over on Blackthorn..." Sam's voice trailed when she realized that Blackthorn Loop was no longer there.

"Mark, what is going on and how can we get back home?" asked Steph.

Just as Mark was about to talk, whoosh! A gust of wind whirled by. The wind was caused by an odd looking creature scurrying by. The girls later found out that it was a Rackazack.

Such a weird little creature that Rackazack is. He sounds like he's speaking a different language. "Abba duma aroba stat!" or "Ventricular beautinolin arema bypass stitch." In addition to loudly yelling words no one understood, he was very much in a hurry. He was running down the road when finally he said something that they all understood "Move out of my way. I've got to get out of here before he wakes up!"

Off he went in a fuss.

Wow, Sam looked at Steph, Steph looked back at Sam and the pup looked at them both. The girls made circling motions with their index finger around their ears. At the same time they both said " What a weirdo!" "Jinx, you owe me a soda. "Jinx, you owe me a soda. Jinx, whoahhhhh…"

They were about to finish their customary 3 times Jinx soda routine (this is always said when two people say the same thing at the same time), but they were startled by the shaking of the ground beneath them. Wait, it wasn't a shaking, it was more like a sliding. A smooth, slow movement. They grabbed onto each other in an attempt to steady themselves. Have you ever tried to steady yourself with something that was just as unsteady as you? Well, you know what happened next. Yep, WHAM, WHAM. They all toppled over onto the moving floor. They weren't hurt, but they were wondering why the floor was moving.
