Sam & Steph's Adventure
They were actually having fun. It was funny watching the puppy bounce up and down. When his ears flipped up and he looked like a vampire bat, and then they flopped down, it kind of made him look like a Beagle. They were all laughing and tumbling They were enjoying the ride until suddenly everything stopped. Just like that. Dead stop. They were suspended in air. Sam looked at Steph, Steph looked at Mark. Mark looked at the pup. The pup looked at Sam. They all looked around at each other because they knew instantly that something very different was about to happen. WHOAH!!! They all screamed as they went spiraling down to the ground. "Help!" they all screamed. "We're falling!" "Arf, Arf" barked the pup. As they descended the sky got darker. First the balloons disappeared, then the butterflies disappeared and finally the rainbows disappeared. It went from bright sunshine to evening dusk.
As it got darker and darker, it was more difficult for them to see each other. Sam yelled for Stephanie, but Stephanie didn't answer. Then she yelled for Mark. Mark didn't answer either. By this time Sam was getting scared. It was pitch black, she couldn't hear the puppy or her friends...she was truly frightened. She closed her eyes tight and hoped that this whole thing would be over soon. Just when she was about to cry, she felt like she landed on something soft. In the distant background she could hear her name being called. "Sammie? Baby girl?" Wait a minute, thought Sam. My Mom calls me baby girl, what's going on? "Hey Pooh!" Dad? Only my Dad calls me Pooh. Am I dreaming? "Sam-Sam. " Grandpa? That's what my grandpa calls me. She could hear her name being called and it seemed like the voices were getting closer and closer. Then she felt something wet on her arm. "Samantha." Greg? Is that you? thought Sam. When did he get here? Sam opened her eyes, looked up and she saw her entire family standing over her. "Huh? What gives?" She said in a groggy voice. What happened to my voice? Where am I? Why are you guys standing here? Mojo. Why is Mojo here (Mojo is Sam's dog.)?" Her family at first looked very worried, but as she started to ask more questions, they all began to smile. Then a strange man came over and smiled at her.
"Girly-girl, you really scared us." said Sam's mom. "You were pretty out of it. You kept saying something about jinx and owing you a soda. Oh, I almost forgot, Stephanie and Mark are outside waiting to see you. Stephanie bought you a stuffed animal. Bet you can't guess what it is." Sam knew immediately what it was. Steph and Mark came in the room and Steph was holding a stuffed furry brown puppy.

through the magical scenery. There were rainbows, butterflies, flowers and colorful balloons everywhere. The pup tried to eat the butterflies, but he was unable to stay balanced long enough to catch one.
"You gave us quite a scare young lady. My name is Dr. Rackazack." You're in Vassar Hospital. Apparently your sneaker was untied and you tripped on your shoelace and hit your head. We rushed you to the hospital in an ambulance. Luckily it wasn't as bad as we thought. You seem to be fine."
