The Dog I Knowby Samantha (age 9) 5/17/2006
Once upon a time there was a kid named Lauren. She loved to play with her friends Amberly and Jessica. They would play everyday. Lauren lived near mountains. One day Lauren, Amberly and Jessica wanted to go in the mountains. Jessica said, "I want to go in the mountains." Lauren and Amberly said "I do too." They said it at the same time, so they went up into the mountains. When they were so close to the top they saw a wolf with green eyes. Where they live, wolves don't have green eyes. Lauren was not scared but her friends were, so Lauren just walked right past it. Did I mention the wolf was snarling? Then a boy named Mark came. It was his dog. So he took his dog back and Lauren asked Mark if he wanted to come. Mark said yes. So they went. Lauren said to Mark, I think I've seen your dog before. "Yeah," Mark said, "I was walking and it looked so skinny so I took care of him. I love dogs." "I do too" said Lauren. When they got to the top of the mountain they had to go back. Mark, Lauren, Amberly and Jessica still live today. And that dog...he was no dog. He was a ghost dog. I told you dogs like that don't have green eyes!
