For individuals who want and need more flexibility along with no ads, FaxZero offers a premium fax account that charges $1.99 per fax.
  2. TPCint.org: A little different than the traditional way to send a fax over the internet, TPCint.org uses emails to send faxes. They use a command in the email address that tells the email where to send the fax. The address of the fax is actually the name and phone number followed by TPCint code.
  3. Metro Fax: Metro Fax is another free service that allows individuals to send a free faxes via the internet. In order to use their services, however users must register by providing their name address, phone number and, of course, the fax number.Faxed
  4. FreePopfax.com: FreePopfax is a faxing service that sends faxes from a computer to fax machines located in Canada and the US. Like most free fax services, it supports itself by placing ads on the document pages.

Some require registration, some offer free 7 to 30 day trials and others use advertising for support. If you're in a pinch and need to send a fax quickly, the free services are a great tool.
