Gender

E-mail Print

Is it me or are many employment, insurance, or just about any application asking for information that is really none of their business? Apply for a job, or a driver's license or insurance. You'll have to fill out an application that goes something like this:

Application

Name
Street Address
City
State
Zip Code
Age
Sex
Phone Number

What? Wait a minute, did it say Sex? That's a personal question. The answer to that is either yes or no (maybe that's why the phone number is so close to that question).

If they want to know if I'm a male or female, the question should ask Gender. Don't you think?

Sometimes I put my two cents worth of thought in this space. Today you deserve a refund.

This is my one cent and I'm sticking to it.
